Woodworking Activities Coordinator

This role is to coordinate our Woodworking Activity.  The applicant is responsible for:

Coordinating and planning meaningful projects within Furniture Activity to increase skills and competency
Providing Support and mentoring to Activity supervisors to develop increase capacity to convert Furniture Making Activity to an Income generating activity
Overseeing safe operating of Lucas Mill and ensure wood is stored and correctly seasoned in preparation for future commercial use.
Liaising and consult with participants, elders and traditional owners to develop suitable activities that can be develop from Furniture Making and other similar activities including Lucas Mill to maximise increased participation rates
Ensuring that CDP contributes to the economic development of the region by maximising job seeker participation in accordance with CDP guidelines
A chance to learn from and mentor local people and to assist in providing skills to ensure sustainable work in an incredible remote location.
