Chef – Wild Foods Cafe

Wild Foods Café provides healthy takeaway alternatives to people in Maningrida. It sells fresh takeaway food, cool drinks, great coffee and baked goodies.

We are looking for a hands on chef, to work independently in our busy kitchen. Criteria includes:

Excellent knowledge of stock control, cooking procedures and waste minimisation.
A genuine interest in food and the industry – keen to provide new menu ideas and develop fresh food offerings
Understands that this position is 100% hands-on and is extremely busy
Experienced trade qualified chef, naturally motivated with lots of experience in high-quality busy establishments – who can produce a high-quality product consistently
Competent in workplace OH&S and food safety compliance
Ability to work autonomously and also within a small team whilst managing various levels of skills in a busy environment with a calm approach

This position offers an attractive salary package. Including 12% Superannuation, 6 weeks Annual Leave, 17% Annual leave loading, salary sacrifice, free basic share accommodation – as well as relocation expenses (within reason).
