Administration Officer – Housing & Homelands

BAC are seeking an experienced Administration Officer for our Housing & Homelands team.  Reporting to the General Manager, the specific duties include:

  • Provide excellent customer service and administration to internal and external customers
  • Implement Staff Tenancy Agreements for all existing staff, create for new staff commencing
  •  Carry out house inspections six monthly, record and update register accordingly
  • Assist with distribution and planning of works for tradespersons including collating and printing of data and photos
  • Maintain registers
  • Prepare invoicing, accounts and other related documentation

To be successful in the position you must have:

1.       Demonstrated administrative experience in a similar role

2.       High level analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

3.       Ability to take initiative and be proactive in all administration areas

4.       Ability to work effectively in a team environment and liaise with a range of internal and external customers

5.       Adhere to the police and procedures of Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation

6.       Excellent organisation & computer skills ability to develop reports, documents and written communication

7.       Maintain confidentiality

8.       Demonstrated experience working in a remote aboriginal community environment, with knowledge and understanding of aboriginal protocol and culture.

9.       Ability to provide a National Police clearance
